What is GAP Insurance?
GAP covers your deductible expenses when you go to the hospital. For a small amount of money per month, you can get the price benefits of a high deductible and the medical benefits of “NO” deductible. GAP will pay your deductible expenses and lower your monthly price.
Why do I need GAP Insurance?
The price of insurance is based on zip code, gender, health, age and deductible. The only thing that a company has control over is their deductible. The lower your deductible, the higher your health care cost will be. At the same time, the higher your deductible, the lower your health care cost will be. When you increase your deductible, you decrease your benefits. As an example, if you have a $5000 deductible versus having a $1000 deductible, you are responsible for the first $5000 of cost. At the same time, by selecting a $5000 deductible, you have reduced your monthly cost by as much as 30%. Use GAP to increase your benefits and decrease your monthly cost. How will GAP work for me?
When you go to the hospital for “in-patient care”, GAP will cover your total elected benefit amount. When you arrive at the hospital, just show your major medical card along with your GAP benefit card, and let the insurance companies work out the details. There are no reimbursement expenses to you. When you go to the hospital for “out-patient care” such as a MRI or surgery, this plan will cover 50% of your benefit amount. In some cases, depending on your benefit amount, GAP will cover 100% of your out-patient care. When you arrive at the hospital, just show your major medical card along with your GAP benefit card, and let the insurance companies work out the details. There are no reimbursement expenses to you. |
